Homemade Gluten-Free Chocolate Dipped Strawberries: An Easy Dessert Recipe.

Happy new month LOBers!! lol "not me making up words" for my dear readers. I love anything (vegan/gluten-free/#nottoosugary/#nonfattening/#savemysummerbody) lol and the list goes on.

I am sure you'd also like to wow all of your loved ones with the best and simplest treat especially during the holidays- something like (strawberries dipped in chocolate)!

Trust me it's easy and all you need is fresh berries, melted chocolate, and some time to dip and chill them. I love this because Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries make a beautiful centerpiece for a special event, a classy addition to a dessert platter, or an attractive garnish for a tiered cake.

Another reason I was so excited to try this recipe again but this time I opted for the home-made version, 1- I would avoid the shop-bought, rock-hard, stale-tasting types, and 2- I wanted to try the new molds I bought to enable me to create lovely shapes with the extra melted chocolate.

Here is what you need for this very easy and simple-looking dessert collection:
1. White Chocolate
2. Dark Chocolate
3. A saucepan
4. Cookie sheet or parchment paper
5. Olive oil
6. Strawberries
7. Rainbow sprinkles (decoration of your choice)
8. Patience. lol

1. When dipping strawberries, set them on a baking sheet lined with nonstick or parchment paper. Strawberries should be rinsed and dried completely on paper towels. Because berries are fragile, washing them right before use will ensure optimum freshness and little damage. Run cold water over each strawberry.  Please avoid rubbing the berries. Strawberries should be rinsed and placed on a fresh paper towel. Before dipping in melted chocolate, let the strawberries be properly air-dried before dipping.

2. Melt chocolate chips with shortening or olive oil (we used olive oil) in a saucepan over low heat, constantly swirling. Avoid letting the chocolate become too hot since it might burn easily. When the chocolate has melted, turn off the heat.

3. To dip the strawberries, dunk the strawberry's red meat into the chocolate of your choice. Make sure the strawberry is evenly covered on all sides by gently swirling it around the chocolate puddle.

4. Place strawberries on a cookie sheet or tray with wax paper on it. Now is the time to decorate your strawberries if you want to go fancy like I did. Add your preferred sparkling sweets, crumbled candies, or rainbow sprinkles, then wait for the chocolate to set.

5. Refrigerate uncovered for about 25- 30 minutes or until the chocolate is firm, or until you are ready to serve if you are not ready to devour it immediately store it covered in the refrigerator so that the chocolate does not soften (remember- if you made yours with oil, the chocolate will soften more quickly at room temperature).
